KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA (March 9, 2022) – The Women’s Networking Association Recognizes Ashley Davidson, CEO & Creative Director of the Modrn Company Inc. (“Modrn Company”), a Canadian event planning and design firm.
Known for her eye for detail, Ashley works closely with her clients to create authentic, meaningful, and beautifully curated luxury events that reflect client styles, desires, and preferences for high-end guest experiences. Ashley is passionate about her work and is a skilled wedding and event designer that draws on her international business, global travel, and 25-years in performance dance. When asked about creativity and motivation in her designs Ashley explained, “the international design scene greatly influences my creation of custom and cohesive events that are filled with thoughtful and multi-sensory elements for a global audience.” Modrn Company is a fast-growing wedding planning and event design company servicing luxury markets across Canada and destinations around the world.
Ashley holds certification in design and wedding consulting from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (“WPIC”). She holds a degree in Psychology from Athabasca University and has also completed the Graduate Program Certificate in Project Management and International Development, with Honors, from Humber College, in Toronto. Most recently, Ashley earned an MBA Essentials Certificate from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management.
Prior to establishing The Modrn Company, Ashley spent 6-months living in Sri Lanka where she spearheaded global partnerships on behalf of a multinational corporation to improve women’s access to digital literacy and education through corporate and community events across the country. Ashley also managed a very successful corporate fundraising and third-party events team at Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in addition to being VP Operations for a publicly traded company. Based out of Kelowna, British Columbia, Ashley credits her success to focus, drive, and perseverance and enjoys spending her time with her husband Trevor and their dog Ryder.

Stella Hargrove is a Council Member in the town of Fairmount Heights, Maryland. A pillar of her community, she is an active listener and resource, always eager to help make the lives of her fellow citizens better. She has been an advocate for women and victims of domestic violence, and continues to help shape the laws and regulations within her community and the State of Maryland.
A veteran of the United States Army, Stella served for 8 years and achieved the rank of Sergeant. She was the recipient of numerous awards for her service, including Medals for Good Conduct, Army Achievement Medal, and Ribbons for Army Services, Overseas Service and NCO Professional Development.
Stella earned her high school diploma from H.D. Woodson High School, Washington, D.C. in 1981. Is the proud mother of 3 grown sons, and credits her success to faith, determination and perseverance.

35-year digital and content visionary Deanna Brown has recently joined American digital publishing giant Penske Media, where she is at the helm of a new venture fund and lab being launched in Austin, Texas. Highly skilled in online advertising, digital media and content strategy, Deanna draws upon a track record of leadership in expertise in new media and is known for building transformative, dynamic teams.
Prior to joining Penske Media, Deanna served as Managing Director of MRC Media, where she modernized the iconic brands Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. Some of her professional accomplishments include increasing efficiency by 47% and gross margin by 10% as SVP of GuideSpark, doubling company revenue from $37M to $89M as the CEO and Board Member at Federated Media LLC, leading the charge on bringing Scripps into the digital space as President of Scripps Networks Digital, and co-founding CondeNet, the digital division of Conde-Nast.
Deanna has been featured as one of the Top Women in Media by Folio Magazine, Ad Age’s Women to Watch, and an Exceptional Woman in Publishing by Exceptional Women in Publishing.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, Deanna went on to complete post-baccalaureate studies in Psychology at the University of Southern California. Today, Deanna divides her time between Los Angeles and Austin, and is a devoted mentor, listener and lifelong learner. She credits her success to having a curious soul that is ready to make a difference in the world. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her pit rescue, Harriet.

Dr. Debrah Wirtzfeld is the CEO of MD Confidence Consulting (sheknowsshiFt.com). A highly experienced ICF certified executive coach and communications expert, Debrah draws upon a unique background in medicine, psychology, administration and educational leadership to help senior and executive women enhance their performance, empower their confidence, and strengthen their ability to lead. Guiding her clients through transitional periods in their careers is her specialty, helping to fortify and prepare women to shatter the glass ceiling and take the leap into high level positions.
In Fall 2022, Debrah is excited to announce the launch of her book, She Knows ShiFt, a resource that will compile the tools and time-proven methodology she has developed and honed over the years. After completing dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology, Debrah went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Calgary. Committed to professional growth and development, she went back to school ten years later to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and in 2019 she earned a Master of Business Administration in Management consulting from Royal Roads University. Her certifications and qualifications are vast, and include certification in University and College Administration from the University of Manitoba, Inclusive Leadership from Centennial College, Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and professional management and leadership programs at Drexel University and the University of Toronto.
Based in Canada and serving a global audience, Debrah is passionate about her work and credits her success to focus, strategic planning, setting clear goals, and opening up new communication pathways.
