Dr. Barbara Walker is Owner of BossDocOnline, and serves as Senior Partnering Manager for Advanced Wealth and Retirement Planning Concepts, LLC. During her doctoral journey she spent her research years studying social and cultural challenges for women across the world.

She is very passionate about pushing to teach kids money basics. So much so that she wrote an online course priced so all families, friends and loved ones can participate in the education of our youth about money. Some very startling statistics include:

Financial illiteracy has been called an  “American Economic Cancer.” A PEW statistic that surfaced a few years ago that suggests that fewer than 2% of Americans will reach financial independence during their lifetimes.  In short, they will NOT be able to sustain themselves financially without some sort of assistance like social security.” In the black and brown communities, the situation is most dire!

A study by the George Washington University School of Business released a report documenting extremely low levels of financial literacy in the African American Communities. The study reveals that even though “African Americans make up 13% of the U.S. population which is a critical segment of our economy  we rank lowest in being financially literate.”  And “Given the strong link between financial literacy and financial well-being, the black and brown communities have little margin for error compared to other groups”.

Dr. Walker is part of a movement to end financial illiteracy in America, one child at a time: www.bossdoconline.com. Her dissertation research inspired to her to write about social issues and their underlying causes particularly on the topic of women and their struggles in Western society. Her book, The Inevitable Rise of the Sher Nation, is intended to educate and inspire those who read it.

Offering over two decades of experience as an award-winning financial advisor lends to her keen ability to identify pain points, reveal them, and be a guide to informed choices.

Dr. Walker has been interviewed and quoted by such media giants such as Forbes, Dow Jones, Fox News and RTTNews, and has been on the cover of industry magazines as well as in local news outlets. Her education and financial industry experience equips her with knowledge and experiences that can be shared the sincere intent to inspire, enrich, and allow for collaborative experiences for all.

In her spare time she enjoys continued reading and education, as well as travel.
