Annachiara Tassan is the Publisher of DeA Planeta Libri, a joint venture between De Agostini Libri S.p.A. and Editorial Planeta Sau, part of the Planeta Group. With over three decades of experience in the field, Annachiara serves as the Editorial Director and Publisher of the firm’s Children, Juvenile and Adult Nonfiction divisions. Working with a team of editors, she scouts for new writing talent, manages acquistions and directs editorial activities on a national level.
After earning a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the Università degli Studi di Padova, Annachiara launched her publishing career at The Walt Disney Company Italia spa. There, she became the Editorial Director of Global Books, and was the recipient of two awards for her contributions to the company. Prior to her current position, she joined De Agostini as Publisher Libri.
Known throughout the industry for her creativity, Annachiara developed several series and projects during her time at Disney and is now responsible for the development of over 300 tiles per year. She is a lifetime member of the WNA, and is looking to scout for new projects and work with more authors on an international level. She resides in Milan, and speaks fluent Italian and English. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is an avid traveler.

Marilyn Palmer is a standout Real Estate Professional serving clients in the Greater Toronto and Golden Horseshoe areas of Ontario for 21 years. With many years of experience in customer relations, sales and marketing, her business is residential real estate. She has an unsurpassed breadth and wealth of knowledge about her market. She is dedicated to ‘service, not sell’ which has brought to her a reputation of excellence in customer experience and a track record of success.
Always one to improve her knowledge and skill set, Marilyn is constantly keeping up to date with the ever-evolving market, electing to take ongoing professional training, and reassessing her marketing for new and creative approaches. Previously, she was owner of a wine store, and was inspired to branch into real estate because customers and colleagues continually told her she would make a great real estate agent.
Passionate about helping others and sharing her knowledge Marilyn created A Seniors Moment™ blog which is available on her website to help Boomers with their parents’ transition to the next lifestyle change. She also writes a blog under the name of Marilyn’s Market Minute which highlights industry trends and market insights in the real estate sector.

Ann-Marie Lorde is owner and Managing Director of Human Capital Training & Development Inc., a firm that specializes in industrial relations, research, training and human resources development. With over 21 years of experience in the human resources and labor sector, she is an expert on labor relations, employment regulation and negotiation, and offers additional advisory and consulting services to clients based outside of the region, as well.
Ann-Marie is currently engaged in a full-time capacity with CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank in the role of Senior Manager Industrial Relations, where Ann-Marie facilitates the negotiation of collective agreements and memoranda of understanding across 11 territories. In her capacity she advises on issues of discipline, negotiation and industrial relations. Her specialty areas are labor law, industrial/employee relations, collective bargaining, training and development.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, Ann-Marie went on to complete a master’s degree in Law and Employment Relations from the University of Leicester. She is also currently pursuing an LLB to broaden her expertise and provide legal advisory services to her clients.
Looking ahead, Ann-Marie would like to continue to grow her outreach as she forays further into the legal sector. She is a role model to women in business and the legal sector, and a staunch advocate for the people she represents. Prior to registering Human Capital Training and Development, she was a Project Coordinator for the Caribbean Congress of Labour. She resides in Barbados, and enjoys travel and reading in her spare time.

With over a decade of experience, Jessica Samson is the Senior Accounting Clerk for Dale and Lessmann, a midsize law firm in Ontario, Canada, where she spearheads trust transactions, training, onboarding, vendor management, and general operations of the company. She is a Chartered Manager with Chartered Managers Canada, and is in the process of earning her CHRP with the Human Resources Professional Association, of Canada, expected in 2019.
Specializing in operations, mentoring, accounting, and human resources management, Ms. Samson wears many hats at Dale and Lessman. She participates in in legal industry compensation surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits. She is also responsible for preparing annual salary recommendations for staff and lawyers, preparing training materials and training sessions for staff and new recruits. She is an asset to the company as a mentor, training new staff in the accounting department, and holds many other leadership and management roles within the company. Prior to her role at Dale and Lessman, she was Trust Accounting Clerk for McMillan LLP, and Administrative and Finance Coordinator for Swift Trade.
Ms. Samson holds her Bachelor’s in English and Literature, and is in the process of obtaining her MBA through the University of London, UK. She brings great passion for networking internationally and has lived in three different countries. Ms. Samson prides herself on her detail-oriented approach and credits her hard work and interpersonal skills with her continued success. As a committed mentor, Ms. Samson would like to continue enriching the lives of others by teaching and lecturing.

Alicia Prosser is CEO of the San Luis Obispo Surgery Center, an affiliate of Surgical Care Affiliates, a leading partnership community of medical and surgical centers offering a standard of excellence in care and a commitment to being the surgical center of choice for patients’ needs. With over 13 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Alicia oversees the clinical operations, supply chain, budgeting, recruiting and business growth and development for the center.
After completing studies at Glendale Community College, Alicia went on to complete a BSHA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. She launched her career in administration at major hospitals and surgical centers across the Southwest, and recently relocated to San Luis Obispo from Phoenix, Arizona to launch the surgical spine program for the San Luis Obispo Surgery Center. Prior to joining the San Luis Obispo Surgery Center, Alicia was Administrator of The Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Center of Paradise Valley, a NueHealth LLC affiliate, and served as Membership Committee Chair of the Arizona Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.
In addition to her lifetime membership with the WNA, Alicia serves as an advocacy committee member of the California Ambulatory Association. Alicia is also a member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce of California. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys playing piano, spending time at the beach with her husband and dogs, and bowling.
