Patrice Thompson is currently General Manager for Aliv, where she rose through the ranks after holding the position of Director of Human Resources. Prior to Aliv, she was Executive Director of Talent and Sourcing, and Executive Director of Operations for Atlantis. Bringing all her leadership and management skills to the table at Aliv, she is in charge of sales acquisition and the channels.

Patrice has a diverse background and took this job to broaden her career. She hols a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University, and is part of the SHRM Association.

Over the next few years she would like to become the COO of the company. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading and working on her documentary.

Nicola K. Harris is a consummate Human Resources specialist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer of the Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union Ltd., she is highly seasoned in regional management and oversees a team of four direct reports and more than 300 workers across two countries.
 
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies, Nicola went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Manchester. She launched her career as an Industrial Relations Officer for the Barbados Employers Confederation and transitioned into human resources for the financial sector as Employee Relations Manager of FirstCaribbean International Bank, where she spent more than 15 years.
 
Prior to joining the Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union in 2017, Nicola spent 3 years at the Manager of Human Resources at First Citizens Bank Barbados Ltd. She is a dynamic coach and mediator to the employees on her teams, and has enjoyed the distinct privilege of assisting women in business to navigate their careers and take steps to advance in their business and their lives.
 
In addition to her lifetime membership in the WNA, Nicola is a member of SHRM. She credits her success to having a keen focus, as well as comprehensive planning and management. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys travel and reading.

Denise M. Bishop brings over 5 years of experience to her field, and is currently a Training Manager, School Administrator at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort. She is highly skilled in training, coaching, sales and hospitality. She also helps run the engineering department, and mentors young girls.

After starting out in her professional career in 1999 as a National Seafood Manager, she took leave in 2012, deciding to join the hospitality industry in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant for the Engineering Department. She was quickly promoted to an Engineering Technical Coordinator and has since received awards for her work with that department. Denise is now embarking on a new challenge as a Training Manager which is her true passion. She was recently nominated for an ARDA Award and won Team Member of the Year for 2018 for the entire Operations Division.

An assertive, passionate and very positive person, Denise would love to connect with other strong women around the world. Prior to coaching and training, she was in sales for 13 years, where she was stressed out and wanted to be more of service.  She has been a motivational speaker in the past, and will be doing more public speaking in the near future.

In her free time she enjoys sewing, stitching, and taking care of cats. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.

Terrian Fletcher is an Executive Assistant with JN Fund Managers. She has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, in roles such as Bank Teller, Branch Secretary, Member Service Representative, HR Officer and Benefits Officer. She oversees operations of the Managing Directors office including assisting with strategic planning, fostering team engagement, scheduling meetings, planning events for the company, and implementing corporate social responsibility activities for the organization.

Her professional history includes over four years of experience as a human resource professional. Prior to current role, her responsibilities as an HR Services Officer included handling the benefits portfolio, as well as some amount of administrative function for the Operations Unit, conducting interviews, and developing policies and procedures. She was in charge of the benefits portfolio for the entire JN Group which involved the procurement of uniforms, administration of pension, health and life insurance benefits for all levels of staff. She also assisted in the successful completion of a recruitment seminar/special event to ensure that a particular unit within the organization was properly staffed.

. Her most recent responsibilities also incorporate aspects of her involvement in the human resource development of employees, fostering team engagement activities, being integral in the company’s strategic process, and assisting the organization in achieving its overall objective.

Terrian is also actively involved in volunteerism where she is a member of Optimist International Caribbean District (a service organization whose main focus is bringing out the best in youth) for 13 years. She has held numerous leadership positions to include President, Secretary/Treasurer, Director, Vice President and Lieutenant Governor. She firmly believes her professional life/experience as well as her years of voluntary service would make me fitting to be a part of any group.

Terrian holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies Mona School of Business from 2014. In the next few years she wants to go back into human resources to be more focused on change management. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and reading. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
