With over two decades of professional experience in her field, AnnCharlott Enberg is the Global Functional Safety Manager at Emerson Automation Solutions. In this role, she is known for her dynamic leadership skill and expertise in functional safety.  Her role has a high business focus and requires both strategic thinking as well as a high drive for results. A major part of her role is to lead, analyze the business environment and set goal for the team. She is known for her wide scope of capability in all these areas.

Prior to this role, she was Business Unit Director for DEKRA AB and SRE Site Responsible Process Safety Engineer for Akzo Nobel AB, and was most recently with Emerson as Global Functional Safety Manager. Her focus has been to work closely with the industry to ensure safety process in engineering systems with the use of tools as HAZOP, FMEA, LOOPA and more for ensuring risk reduction and to interact operation personal/human design process. The important goal for AnnCharlott is to continue to build on her SIS knowledge and make SIS devices easier to implement in our industry, and to increase safety globally.

She has been involved in large projects for companies and clients worldwide, particularly in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. She has published numerous articles concerning high integrity systems and is joint author of the handbook “The Engineer’s Guide to Level Safety Instrumentation and Overfill Prevention”. She has recently completed a 6-month SIS Around the World Tour with the focus on training and developing new possibilities for decreasing risk in the industry. She participates actively in various professional institutions and government safety committees relating to programmable electronic safety systems, and is a member of the international industry groups for both IEC 61508, IEC 61511 and ISA84.

AnnCharlott holds her MBA from MBA Probana, which she obtained in 2014. Moving forward, she plans to continue in her current role and to empower women in the workplace through her work. She hopes to network as much as possible with likeminded professionals worldwide.

Brenda A. Leath is the President & CEO of Leath & Associates, Inc. Ms. Leath is a seasoned health professional with more than 25 years of experience in the health services industry. A mission of advocacy undergirds her career portfolio as evidenced in her endeavors across a range of venues. Recognized as a thought leader, author of peer-reviewed professional journals, book chapters, and technical reports, advocate, and health strategist, Ms. Leath is astute at navigating the health policy landscape. Driven by a keen interest in population health, health policy, health equity, health ethics, and healthcare technologies, Ms. Leath has maintained a focus on addressing the needs of diverse populations challenged by socioeconomic disparities. Working with vast constituencies to strengthen communities and help build public health service system capacities is one of her priorities. Of particular note is her ability to engage a diverse array of stakeholders, including consumers, and bring cultural sensitivity to the scientific rigors of the research process. She has worked substantially on issues that impact racial and ethnic minorities, underserved children and families, as well as people with special needs. Her career history includes experience in hospital and ambulatory care administration, nonprofit management, advocacy, public policy, and technology based-education.

At the national level, Ms. Leath’s public and private sector experience includes currently serving as the Certification Director of the National Pathways Community HUB Certification Program at the Pathways Community HUB Institute (PCHI). Ms. Leath is the Founder and President Emeritus of the National Consortium for African American Children. Additional tenures included Senior Study Director and Director of the Center on Health Disparities & Health Equity Research at Westat, Associate Director of Special Population Initiatives at the congressionally established, National Commission to Prevent Infant Mortality, her appointment to the U.S. President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, her selection as Chair of the Family Services and Supports Subcommittee, her leadership as Chair of the National Task Force on Pediatric Obesity and Chronic Disease, and appointment as a Section Editor of the first Online Journal of Public Health Informatics-University of Illinois (Chicago). Ms. Leath is a member of various professional associations and societies among which include: The American Public Health Association (Governing Councilor; Charter Advisory Board Member and Policy Committee Chair of the Health Informatics Information Technology Section); National Quality Forum (Patient Experience and Function Standing Committee Member); Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity (Member); and Meeting Professionals International (Member).

Ms. Leath’s leadership of Leath & Associates Inc, a newly established minority woman-owned small business consultancy, embodies her vision for innovation in health and human services and work in support of achieving health equity. Based in Washington, DC, the company’s clientele reflects a broad array of public, private, federal and municipal clientele. Industry sectors include health care, human services, technology, government, private industry and higher education. She has maintained certification from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional since 2006. Her vision for the future is to do consulting in Bioethics. Dr. Erika Wichro is an Austrian Medical Doctor, Public Health Expert and Psycho-social expert. She is currently serving as the CEO and International Consultant at Peacebuilding and Partners Sarl, focusing on global health, cross-sectoral and international humanitarian law and human rights matters. Erika started out in the medical field as a Registered Nurse and moved into the humanitarian field with continuous education and training. She works globally in health emergencies, disaster relief, education, capacity building and training, policies and procedures, and sustainable development. She has worked in many different countries, focusing on outbreak management, containment, preparedness and planning, and disease surveillance and risk assessment in international emergencies.

Erika has had her consulting company for nearly 2 years and is based out of Rolle, Switzerland. She speaks English, German, French and Arabic, and is devoted to helping her clients achieve their goals with technical advice, advocacy, assessment, leadership, capacity building, operational and managerial problem solving. She is delighted to go the extra mile for clients and is renowned for high integrity, commitment, mutual trust and respect. A recognized global health expert, she has worked with the World Health Organization in Pakistan, Turkey for Syria, Ghana, the Pacific region and Afghanistan, and also as Project Researcher and Public Health expert at The Medical University of Graz. She has additional expertise in pandemic preparedness and planning for The Public Health Division of Styrian, Austria. She is UNDAC and European Union Civil Protection mechanism trained, part of the expert pool and trainer in the Course on Negotiation and Decision-Making and the High-Level Coordination course. She has worked tirelessly in the Syrian relief efforts and crisis intervention and has continued to policy improvements involving polio eradication and measles elimination.

In addition to being a lifetime member of the WNA, Erika is a Member of The European Union Civil Protection and The European Public Health Association. She is part of The Austrian Public Health Association and The International Infectious Disease Association, and serves as an editorial board member for the Global Journal of Medicine and Public Health and the Journal of Infectious Diseases & Travel Medicine. Her work has been published in auspicious industry media including The Crisis Response Journal.

She is very well educated and has taken extensive certification courses, including training in Rapid Transformation involving Hypnotherapy, and would like to take that to the forefront. Erika earned her Executive Masters in International Humanitarian Law in Armed Conflict from the Geneva Academy of International Law and Human Rights, and holds a Medical Doctorate, a Master’s Degree in Medical Ethics and Economic Ethics from the University of Graz, and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health. Mirta Michilli is co-founder and general director of Fondazione Mondo Digitale of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, a non-profit organization founded by the Municipality of Rome, the Lazio Region in addition to six large ICT companies. Committed to the creation of an inclusive knowledge society promoting the sharing of human knowledge, Fondazione Mondo Digitale is dedicated to social inclusion and innovation. The foundations focuses particularly on both the school world and populations at the greatest risk of exclusion: the elderly, migrants, unemployed young people, and others.

Fondazione Mondo Digitale (FMD) was founded in 2001 as Consorzio Gioventù Digitale, and was organized as a non-profit organization under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Tullio De Mauro. FMD works with schools, small-and-medium size companies, large technology corporations, non-profit organizations, local, regional, and national authorities, and European partnerships.

FMD values placing human individuals at the center of every activity, everywhere. A focus area, “Women and ICT” maintains the mission of providing young women with opportunities to experience new technology and to have access to the job market.

FMD’s mission is to align education with the challenges of the 21st century and to fight the plight of social emergencies, from youth unemployment to school dropout rates. Mirta and her team have developed a model based on “Education for Life” and the “Innovation Gym”, a physical-virtual environment for experiential learning and practice innovation. With over 70 educational proposals FMD contributes to the development of digital skills and self-entrepreneurship of citizens at all ages.

Operating in different areas, programs, content and ad hoc platforms, the team at FMD promotes the inclusive use of technologies everywhere, helping new generations to discover the jobs of the future related to technological development. Most importantly, they support the training and careers of young women in the field of STEAM.

Through the model of intergenerational learning and the “Third Reception” FMD has the ability to transform young people into I-tutors, natural facilitators in the processes of inclusion and the integration of over 65s and citizens of developing countries. An accredited body of the Ministry of Education for the training of school personnel, they have earned and obtained quality certification for coaching services (UNI and ISO).

The woman at the helm, Mirta Michilli , serves as co-founder an general director to this dynamic foundation. Prior to Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Mirta was behind the success obtained by the Municipality of Rome as President of the European Telecities Network (now Eurocities Knowledge Society Forum www.eurocities.org), which has over 120 partners including capital and other important cities of the European Union. In 1999 she founded in Edinburgh Helios ICT Management ltd, a spin-off of the University of Edinburgh. She earned her PhD in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the International School of Management in Paris (2020), and has also completed DBA courses at the Saint John University of New York on Social Venture Capital, Social Return on Investments and Marketing for Non profit Organizations.

Mirta will earn her PhD in Entrepreneurship and Innovation this year (2020) from the International School of Management and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa. She regularly participates as a speaker at conventions, press conferences and television and radio programmes.

Having published over 100 articles, she has frequently spoken at several conferences on the subjects of Women in Tech, Youth in Tech, and Innovation & Job Expansion. She tells us one of her greatest passions is to keep women and youth aware of technological innovation and transformation. She does this by working to spread the benefits/opportunities of technological developments in society with special attention to schools and to those potentially being excluded.

Mirta’s vision for the future is to continue to bring awareness and to provide training programs for female entrepreneurs and professionals on the use of social media so that they may promote their businesses and professional services.  She speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish. Mirta won a Microsoft Award- Global YouthSpark Advisor, and enjoys walking and trekking in her spare time. Anja Grenner has over 25 years of experience in her field. As Head of Funds from Intertrust Luxembourg Sarl, she is responsible for business development for funds, including sales. She is involved in pitches as a tech expert and manages a team of 80 in performing back office activities, including asset management and acting as a funder of funds. She also speaks at conferences, representing her company and conducting workshops.

Anja holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Giessen in Germany, and conducted postgraduate studies at the University of London Royal Holloway. She found her way to her current position by coincidence, as she took a motorcycle trip to Luxembourg that resulted in her start in the profession. In addition to being a member of the WNA, she is a member of the Luxury Private Equity Association and ALFI. She is proud to serve as a role model to other women in the financial sector, and is currently the only woman manager in Operations in her company. She credits her success to being ambitious, having a strong work ethic, and being a good manager.
