Shobha Rampersad has over 20 years combined of experience in the areas of shipping and logistics, HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental), executive administration, events management, events design, and client relations. She is currently the Managing Director at her company, a Mercury Girl Design, and is a strong believer in community support, with emphasis on mentorship and networking.  She is also a Procurement and Shipping Administrative Assistant for Nu-Iron Unlimited (a subsidiary of Nucor, the largest steel producer and biggest recycler of scrap in the US).

Having interacted with professionals around the world, Shobha can attest to the magnanimous contributions that women in the corporate/business world have made throughout the years.  There is an ever compelling desire to continually improve and as such she firmly believes that coming from a geographically smaller country, her strengths reside in that belief that no matter one’s size, it’s the mission, values and passion that truly determine one’s purpose in life.

Claudia Garcia has over 20 years of experience in technology and business. As a systems engineer with a master’s degree in marketing, she has 10 years of experience working in telecommunications, and 20 years of experience in technology Business.

Claudia is a system engineer with a Masters in Marketing specialized in Digital Transformation Strategy. She offers 10 years working for the main local Telecommunication Company (Codetel), then Verizon, in marketing as product development and project manager. She eventually had the responsibility of the CPE product portfolio leading the team that manages the relationship with the device manufacturers (Nortel, Cisco). During this time she learned some good values from different cultures that enriched her life- leadership, being people oriented and conflict management.

Based on this, she decided to focus on a sales perspective, and moved to a Puerto Rican partner as Business development manager, penetrating Enterprise market with IP Telephony solutions (Cisco, Microsoft, Polycom, Fortinet, CA Technologies) and services for 5 years. She discovered her passion for service excellence and consulting.

She was offered the opportunity to start working at Microsoft, and has5 years starting as SMB Lead for DR, then as SAM&C Lead for Caribbean. This role gave her the vision to work cross segment and cross region, while based on the local office in Dominican Republic. Now as Cloud Specialist for Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico pursue to help customers towards their Digital Transformation journey transforming the way their employees work and serve better their customers.

She is passionate about service, excellence and consulting, and loves to inspire women to be the essence they want to be. She looks forward to connecting with likeminded professionals.

Delphine Rochereau helps individuals and entrepreneurs choose and live a meaningful, courageous and intentional life.

Born in France and raised between France and Brazil, Delphine studied in England and worked in Italy, Brazil, Bolivia.

As a former Naval Architect and sailor, Delphine knows that freedom, knowledge and awareness are closely interlinked. “Freedom and happiness through awareness,” could be her moto.

In 2007, she arrived in Bolivia to be the first woman to manage an adventure traveling agency called Terra Andina Bolivia. When she deliberately broke the local rules by inviting the women from the Andean Cordillera to her office to receive the family payments, she realized how a few words can be enough to empower people and create life-changing mindset-shifts.

Today, Delphine is a professional certified coach working with emotional intelligence to regulate stress, prevent burn-out, decrease turn-over, create innovation-friendly environments, set the keys to your leadership.

Through her personal brand Be Brave & Break Free and The Centre de Gestion du Stress, a French integrative network specialized in stress regulation and health prevention, she aims to create a sweeter world, one connection at the time.

Margarida Ruela is CEO of Casa da Avenida Lisboa, www.casa-da-avenida.pt, a vacation rental company based out of beautiful Lisbon, Portugal. She also runs an equipment rental company, Jose Ruela Lda, which she has managed for over 20 years. After working for a few years for the airline TWA, she discovered that communicating with people was her passion. She is dedicated to excellence and highly disciplined in her work.

Located in Arroios, Lisbon, Portugal (that took first place in the table of the 50 coolest neighborhoods in the world), Casa da Avenida Lisboa won the Travel Review Award for the 7th time. With a score of 9.5 out of 10, it is said this is the place to feel the pulse of the city and live like a resident.

Taking advantage of the opportunity of these quieter months, Casa da Avenida Lisboa took the opportunity to renovate and improve the comfort of the apartments in order to provide an even better stay for guests. She currently has four large apartments that she manages with great dedication. She says that vacation rental returns the joy of communicating and of being able to help clients to have an unforgettable stay.

Since 1990, Margarida  has also been running another company, José Ruela Lda, www.joseruela.pt,  a rental machinery company for construction. Founded forty years ago as a small company for her father, for the last twenty years she has served as CEO and partner with her sister. The company has grown and now has thirty employees. She likes to have avenged in a world that par tradition is of men!

Passionate about her work, Margarida loves to introduce visitors to the wonderful opportunities and experiences Lisbon and its surrounding regions have to offer. She credits her success to dedication, drive and hard work, and is looking forward to connecting with likeminded professionals.
